Airtel, the largest GSM Operator in India, today introduced world's first 'SMS video tone service' for all its pre-paid and post-paid customers Indiawide.
The Smart Video Com Service is developed and provided by MIGITAL, a Pro Telecommunications Solution developer based in India, providing the Next Level Mobile Solutions World wide.
The service plays individual and unlimited number of videos assigned to each separate caller or group, including incoming and outgoing calls and messages.
The application will enable customers to download video clips onto their phones and thereafter assign various video tones to various callers in the phone book, the company statement said.
The service is available to all Airtel subscribers for a monthly rental of Rs 15 and one time application download of Rs 50.
For application download, Airtel customers using their symbian-based GPRS phones need to log on Airtel Live website and from Migital's website.
''This latest initiative strengthens our position in the telecom market as a leading player driven by customer delight and innovation,'' Mr Christopher Tobit, CEO, Bharti Airtel Delhi circle (Mobility) said.
